New System To Block Lost And Stolen Mobile Phones In Pakistan

A new method of blocking stolen and lost mobile phones has been introduced in Pakistan. Now mobile phone owners will no longer need to contact CPLC (Citizens-Police Liaison Committee).

The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has introduced a new system to block stolen and lost mobile phones online, which will block mobile phones within 24 hours after a consumer complaint.

The Lost and Stolen Device System (LSDS) has been introduced to block stolen and lost mobile phones. This system allows users to submit an IMEI blocking request for their mobile phone to PTA.

This system (LSDS) is integrated with PTA’s Device Identification and Blocking System.

Owners can submit application to block mobile phones through the online complaint management system available on the PTA website. After submitting the form, PTA will provide a number to the owner of the mobile phone.

If the mobile phone is found, the owner will have to provide the complaint number and the details provided at the time of submitting the online form. Users will receive SMS after mobile is blocked.
